WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS MILLENNIUM

AN OVERVIEW OF END-TIME PROPHECY

I have noticed that some churches shy away from end-time prophecy, consequently - many Christians do not recognize the signs of the times - and cannot prepare adequately for the coming of Christ with any degree of knowledge or direction. However, this is the millennium in which we shall see the face of Christ at the judgment throne. The time frame in which this will happen is this generation; the generation that will not pass away before the coming of Christ, because it has seen the fig tree (Israel) set forth its branches - (Matthew 24: 31-35). We may not know the day or the hour, but by certain signs we do know that our redemption draweth near (Luke 21:28).

Let us not look at extra-biblical sources like Nostradamus’ prophecies, the Mayan’s or the Aztec’s calendar which indicates 21^stDecember, 2012. These and other New Age sources are debatable, and deceptive. Jesus Himself said that his coming will be like a thief in the night; not according to a fixed date when the expectancy level is at an all time high.

In times like these, biblical prophecy is vitally necessary. Prophecy also serves three main purposes:

1) Man has a natural desire to know the future. God, therefore, wants to satisfy his curiosity. That is why one quarter of the Bible consists of prophecy. If you study it, you will always be ahead of the crowd. Psychics at best can predict the outcome of situations, but they never know the primal cause of anything - otherwise they would stop functioning as psychics knowing that God is the primal cause. Biblical prophecy is meant for you. It is only then could you understand the cause behind the cause.

2) Through the study of prophecy, we cultivate the Christian worldview. A person who is well-versed in biblical prophecy can tell where the social, economic and political trends are leading; an individual with a secular worldview cannot. He does not see that the cashless society and the coming of globalism herald the coming of the antichrist. Since the world does not grasp God’s prophetic warning, it rushes straight in where angels fear to tread.

3) The more you know about prophecy, the more you can prepare for the coming of Christ. He has given us certain signs so that we may know when He is at the door (Mark 13: 29). The signs indicate that we are closer than most people think.

The first time I heard of prophecy was from a maternal grandmother. I remember her 40 years ago, turning the pages of a picture book with the beasts of Daniel and Revelation in it. I was told that the Beast with 7 heads and 10 horns represented a future unified nation. Today Europe is unified.

She then turned to Revelation 13:16-17, and explained that one day we will have a society with no cash. Today, e-commerce is growing in leaps and bounds from year to year. I have even shopped online with a credit card before, purchasing a classical piano CD and a book. I have even downloaded a Vivaldi violin concerto from the Internet. The latest report I heard was that a larger percentage of all purchases are done online, and less are done in cash. Every time you turn on the cable television, someone is offering to buy or sell through electronic currency.

In speaking about Europe, I remember that in the late 1980's and early 1990's that the politicians thought that it would be a good idea to unify all of Europe. Certainly Gobachev and Bush thought so. They were constantly thinking of the New World Order. When 1992 arrived, the target date for the unification of Europe - I recall being constantly surprised. I did not think that something like this would come out of Europe.

The revived Roman Empire countries are known as the European Economic Community. They wanted to have to a single currency and remove all trade barriers. They decided to harmonize all their laws and have freedom to travel. I recall the set date for this being 1992. Today, Europe is unified and they have a single currency called the Euro. Other countries like Asia, Africa, South America, the Caribbean nations, the Arab nations - and even recently America with Canada and Mexico have caught on to this concept of unity. Even though we have the United States of Europe, each European country has its own president or prime minister. This too will soon change for as of late, this union is seeking to become a federation similar to that of the United States. Eventually, there will be a single ruler who will be the antichrist. He will rule the world and be from Europe, because Daniel 9:26 states: “that the prince shall be of the people that destroyed Jerusalem." Europe is actually the Revived Roman Empire - keep that in mind.

A good indication that Jesus is coming soon is the bar code system. Look at your groceries and you will find that most of the items have vertical marks on them. This economic system - if you learn to decipher the bars - has 6 at both ends and 6 in the middle. Revelation 13: 16-17 states that: “…no man might buy or sell except he had the mark, or the name of the Beast, or the number of his name." Gradually, this three-digit number, using the recent science of biometrics- could be transferred to the human skin on a global scale. In some bar code systems “F” is marked for forehead, and “H” is marked for the right hand. Bar codes, such as these, have already appeared in some Midwestern stores. And according to people who should know, the person must have the mark in their right hand or forehead before buying or selling for that matter!

Sometime ago, I purchased The Popular Science magazine, the front cover of which read: “Your Body is Your ID” and “No More Paper Please.” The parts of the body used for identification were the hands, fingers, eyes, face and even the voice. This is a recently developed science called biometrics.

The Bible tells us that the mark will be on the back of the right hand or the forehead. The Greek word for mark is CHARAGMA, which means scratch, etching or cutting into. In Revelation 13: 18 - that mark is 666.

This is the mark that John talks about. Some believers think that it will be in the form of a VeriChip or Transponder, which is currently being injected under the skin of animals and humans. This transponder is capable of having your Identification number and your whole history on it.

In the American Military, they have already experimented with chip implants. In Britain, microchip implants have already been discussed as being ideal for employees. For a very long time, these implants have been used in animals. When the Antichrist comes to power, he will require those not caught in the Rapture to wear the mark.

THE GLOBAL VILLAGE

What about the Global Village or the New World Order? At present the Internet has linked up the world, and it has grown smaller figuratively. Yes, the computer and the Internet are unifying the entire world with one computer language. This universal computer language is called COBOL. This reminds me of the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11: 1-9. When the men were building their tower, they had one universal language, but looking to recent archaeological finds according to Nebuchadnezzar, it was built by a former king, and it "was abandoned without order expressing their words." This was actually engraved in stone. Likewise, the Federation of Europe headed by the Antichrist will be thrown into confusion at the coming of Christ - (Revelation 19:19 - 21).

NEW DEVELOPMENTS CONCERNING THE GLOBAL VILLAGE IN 2008

The coming of Jesus will surprise many. Just the other day, I was reading about the latest developments in The One World Government that will herald the coming of Christ in the rapture for His church. One verse came to my mind: Revelation 13:16, “and he causeth all both small and great, rich and poor, free and enslaved to receive the mark on their right hand, or in their foreheads.”

This passage says that: “…all - both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond...” This means that the whole populace of the planet will be subject to a one world ruler. All national boundaries will be erased and everybody will have planetary citizenship. In 2005, President George W. Bush secretly signed an agreement with the two respective Presidents of Canada and Mexico. They will amalgamate Canada and Mexico with America to become known as: The North American Union. Their target date is 2010. The American constitution and its sovereignty will be abrogated. The future currency of exchange, which is now in existence, is called the Amero! It is based on the concept of the United States of Europe which has the Euro as its currency.

As if this were not enough, we have the African Union, the Asian Union and other federations. I believe that all of these blocks of nations will amalgamate to become one governmental system to be headed by one sovereign ruler – The antichrist. Again, it is quite amazing that former Presidents George Bush Sr., George W. Bush Jr., Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and John McCain are members of either the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, or both. Ronald Reagan was a former member. As a matter of fact, both Democrats and Republicans are presently members! These organizations were gathered together to bring into existence the New World Order. Condoleezza Rice, and according to some sources, Barack Obama are said to belong to this group. Obama, however - denies it.

You may ask, what will be the currency of this global union? The answer is that eventually there will be no currency. But as a stop-gap measure, credit cards are being used. Chips containing all your personal information will be put into them. Notice that these credit cards are becoming more versatile year by year. But there is still a problem - in that there is a one billion dollar credit card fraud every year. Other limitation of the card is that its contact can wear out within a year. It also can be broken, stolen or lost. Another limitation is that the chips are made only to last for one or two years.

To the lost, there is only one solution - that is to implant the chip into the flesh where it cannot be personally circumvented. From the credit card, the biochip can be implanted surgically into the clavicle of a child or anywhere under the skin. MOTOROLA HAS FOUND A WAY OF IMPLANTING A BIOCHIP IN THE RIGHT HAND WHERE IT CANNOT BE REMOVED BY SURGERY. If it is removed, the lithium battery that is powering it will contaminate the person. And the satellite in the sky, the Global Positioning Device will pick it up. At present there are only 300 people in the United States that have had the chip implanted underneath the skin. Unfortunately, when it was discovered through animal experiments that there is a possibility of getting cancer, many people tried to have them removed by doctors.

Motorola also makes chips for MONDEX. There are 1 billion chips that are made by MONDEX smart card a year. More than 250 corporations in 20 countries use the Mondex smart card. With chips you can be tracked anywhere in the world with Global Positioning Systems (Satellites). Right now, employees can be monitored wherever they are - because there are chips in their cell phones. However, the employer does not always tell them that they are being monitored. Chips can also be in cars and computers.

So you see that the technology for the domination of the antichrist in the Tribulation period is here. But no Christian will be left here. We are now the terminal generation. And belief in Jesus is the only way to get to heaven. Know that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life; no man cometh unto the Father but through Him. Once you believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and His blood cleanseth you of all unrighteousness, you are saved. Remember too, that it is not of works, lest every man should boast, but by grace through faith in Jesus Christ that you will be taken up into the rapture. What about the law? Well, St Paul said that the law is a school master to show you how to behave after you have been saved. Works are also evidence of your salvation.

Friend, prepare now, do not put it off. You know that Christ’s coming is imminent because of the number of floods, earthquakes, earthquake aftershocks, bush fires, terrorist attacks, cyclones, and tornadoes all over the planet.

THE RAPTURE

One of the greatest events on the prophetic timetable. The Rapture will occur very soon. Now I subscribe to the pre-tribulation rapture which means that the Christians will be taken out of the world before the tribulation. Clearly the Bible does not support the mid-tribulation or the post-tribulation rapture. St. Paul lets us know that it is the restraining power of the Holy Spirit, I believe through his church that keeps the antichrist from beginning the tribulation period. (2 Thessalonians 2:7). There if the rapture occurs in the middle of the tribulation period, then it would contradict this verse of scripture. The rapture could not happen after the tribulation period. Why, because: “When Jesus returns (Rev. 19:18), an army follows Him. If the saints of God are returning with Christ to wage war on the Antichrist, then it is not possible to have a post-tribulation rapture without us running into ourselves as we are coming.”

Some people say that the word “Rapture” is not in the Bible. However, if we look at the aforementioned verse, the word that is used for “caught up” in the Greek New Testament is “harpazo.” Here is the popular verse with the words “caught up.”: “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be CAUGHT UP together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord." - (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

Yet another verse for the rapture is: "Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed - in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet" - (1 Corinthians 15: 51).

Again, if you look in the Latin Vulgate you will find why we use the word “rapture”. In Latin, rapere means: "to be caught up” as well. The Hebrew word for “Rapture” also has a similar meaning. So the word “Rapture” approximates the meaning of the word for “harpazo”- used more than one in the original New Testament Textus Receptus and in Latin as well.

Jesus Christ said before he comes that: “The Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached to the entire world as witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” At present, the second coming messages are presented in more than 900 languages and dialects. More than 95% of the world’s population has access to this message. IT IS VERY POSSIBLE THAT BEFORE JESUS’ SECOND COMING every person in the world will be warned of His soon return. Jesus is coming back sooner than most people think.

The AD 2000 & Beyond Movement’s vision was to have a church planted in every unreached “people group”, and making the gospel available. The AD 2000 & Beyond Movement has spread the vision for reaching the "10/40 Window.” This may be speeded up by personal witness, literature, scripture translation, Christian video, cassettes, television, radio, the Internet and many other tools God has given us.

Through the combined ministry of the Bible Societies and Bible translation agencies, 94% of the world's population has access to a New Testament in their own language. WBT has set the goal of researching the remaining languages of the earth and initiating a Bible translation program for each one requiring it by 2020 AD.

In 1999, translation projects for the Wycliffe translators started at a pace of one language for every 18 days. Out of their efforts, Vision 2025 was born. Their objective was to have the Bible translated into every language in 2025. Since then, their pace of translation has accelerated.

Here is factual information that the coming of Jesus is at the door. It is estimated that the potential audience for the gospel is now 99%, assuming good radio reception, availability of radios and also interest in seeking the correct frequencies.

It is astonishing that The Jesus Film has had 4.1 billion individual viewings. The goal of translating the script into every language group consisting of 50,000 people has been achieved by 2001 - according to Rick Warren the author of: “The Purpose Driven Life. The Jesus Film is the most effective evangelistic tool to date. Two hundred and eighteen million decisions have been made for Christ, and hundreds of thousands of churches have been planted in connection with it.

Many people, including myself have had dreams or visions of the Rapture. However, let us go over a particular verse of scripture that deals with the Rapture in the English Bible: "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." - (1 Thessalonians, 4:16-18).

THE TRIBULATION PERIOD

In the early part of this millennium, the seven-year tribulation will also occur, The prophet Daniel talks about the 70 weeks of years - (Daniel 9:24). We are living in the 69th week. The 70th week starts rolling when Christ comes for his own in the Rapture. Now I am referring to the pre-tribulation rapture which is scriptural. In 1 Thessalonians 5:9, we learn that God has not appointed His people to wrath. This is a time when all the plagues will be poured upon humanity - (Revelation 6-18). The unsaved will be left behind to have a confrontation with the Antichrist. During his reign there will be a deceptive sense of peace, during the first half of the Tribulation period. The next half of the Tribulation period will be devastating - never will there be such a catastrophic time in history of mankind.

During this millennium there will be World War III; this is not the War of Armageddon. World War III takes place on the Mount of Zion. Armageddon, on the other hand, takes place in the Valley of Megiddo. In World War III, it shall take 7 months to bury the dead - (Ezekiel 39:12). I actually remember a Latin pastor telling of a vision he had of this event. He saw Russia and its Arab affiliates converge on Israel. He then told of the mass slaughter of the enemy forces on the Mount of Israel. When the whole world saw what Israel's God could do, it was converted and worshipped Israel's God. I heard another report confirming these scriptures. Recently, an expert on information technology, Chuck Missler, said that according to secret intelligence, Russia does have plans to invade Israel. This will happen during the tribulation period.

THE WAR OF ARMAGEDDON

The War of Armageddon takes place after the Tribulation period. During this particular time, the antichrist will lead his forces against Israel. The 200,000,000 Oriental army will also cross the Euphrates to get to Israel. According to Revelation 16: 14 - these august forces will try to do battle with The Lord, but will be annihilated. Revelation 16:18 describes exactly what will happen: "...and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake and so great." In a biblical archaeological review, scientists have discovered that one of the biggest faults in the whole of the Middle East exist in the Valley of Megiddo. This is exactly where the armies will have a confrontation with the Messiah. In Revelation 14:20, the blood shall come up to the horses' bridle. This will also be the time in which Christ will touch base with planet earth. His foot will touch the Mount of Olives, which shall split from north to south - (Zechariah 14:3-5). Seismologists have found a fault running east and west precisely through the center, ready to divide when Jesus touches it. Zechariah predicted this 2,500 years ago.

JESUS WILL EVENTUALLY SET UP HIS KINGDOM ON THIS EARTH

Jesus will then set up his kingdom on earth. This will then be the end of man's disgraceful rule on this planet beginning from Adam. Christ will establish His New World Order. Satan, during the I000-year reign will be bound, and no longer able to tempt the nations. During his reign, the Jews will still exist. They have survived all other peoples of antiquity. The descendants of the Aaronic priesthood are still here with us according to the DNA sequences in the Y chromosome passed down from succeeding generations. The Cohens (which means priests in Hebrew) have this kind of DNA, thus God has preserved his people. Have you ever heard of any modern day Philistines, Canaanites, Edomites or Midianites? No these racial and ethnic groups have faded into oblivion. In Zechariah 8: 23, Jerusalem - home of the Jews - will be the capital of the entire world. In those days 10 men out of all languages will seize the coat of the Jew saying, let us go up with you. In that day the seat of power for Jesus Christ will be in Jerusalem.

THE BEGINNING OF ETERNITY

After the end of Christ’s millennial reign, Satan will be loosed to tempt the Nations. Guess what will happen? Yes, there will be another war in which Russia (Gog and Magog) will try to destroy the Jews but God will destroy them - (Revelation 20: 7 - 9). After this, Satan and his cohorts shall be cast into the lake of fire.

After this will be the beginning of all eternity. In Revelation 21:1, 23 we read of the coming down of the New Jerusalem. In this city there will be no more sea; no more sun and no more moon for God shall be its glory.

HOW CAN WE PREPARE

FOR IMMINENT RETURN OF CHRIST

We can all be certain of our salvation in Jesus Christ in this life. As a matter of fact, the instant we accept in our hearts that Jesus shed his blood on the cross for our sins, we are saved at that very moment. In 1 John 1:7, it states: "... and the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanseth us from all sin." Furthermore, belief in His Resurrection is also essential to salvation - (Romans I0: 9).

Once you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, good works are the by-product. You should also have a desire to win other souls for the Kingdom of God. Not all of us are called to be evangelist or pastors, but all of us are called to the ministry of personal evangelism. 2 Timothy 4:2 states: “Preach the word; be diligent in season and out of season." Do not let the unrighteousness die in his sin for his blood will be required at thy hand - (Ezekiel 3:18). When you have received salvation, go out and win souls into the Kingdom of Heaven according to your callings and giftings. This is the only way to prepare for what is to come during this millennium.
